Hi all, have anyone come accross the below problem ? Where the file suddenly says there is an "unclosed literal string" and then all your calculations are lost. Is there a way to recover the original info on the smath file ? This happens mostly when updating the smath.. Regards

Hello ddarko, The file was saved using which version of SMath Studio? There were similar issues in version previous to 0.98, related to images. To try to recover the file, you might download from the Extensions Manger the "Development Tools" plugin and run the "Smath File recovery" utility (Insert > Development tools > SMath file recovery). It happened once to me and nothing could be done, not even from backup. This same problem was encountered in Mathcad 11. Don't trust me, but a lost file is lost for ever. Most probably from unknown bug in the "memory Checksum" at the time of saving. Differently than Smath/Mathcad, OriginLab backup works fine and no file can ever be lost, working in background. Good luck, let us know.
