Non iterative methods for root estimation + iterative methods based on the sign(1) function for finding roots and maximum/minimum values in a range.

Signum-based Iterative methods.sm (186kb) downloaded 33 time(s).

Thanks Davide ... that will make my day !

I discovered the "GID" transit integrator in Mathcad 11.
Works as well in Smath. Don't know if other CAS support ?

True, thank you Jean Good

Usually it may need to play a little with bounds and intervals. In this case changing intervals from 40 to 41 fixed the issue. (updated the first post)
