Adding a row or column in Mathcad, mid Matrix, was simple. In SMath, I cannot copy portions of the matrix to move the information (all or nothing) as I've tri. Am I missing anything?
Matrix -Insert Row or Column.sm (6kb) downloaded 45 time(s).

You can use this tool. It also allows conversion between Excel and Smath.

Jean,
Sometimes your convoluted solutions really do inspire ... when I understand them Good

Here is a work around that works for me. I did NOT try it as an insert to column or row index 1 as I assume these exist. If those are needed, I guess we use augment. At the end of a matrix, we can just pull the handle. RS_Insert cols_rows to Matrices.smz (7kb) downloaded 46 time(s).

Thank you

Pad(M,nc,nr) ... padding a matrix has the meaning centered [nc,nr] insertion,
reserved for Fourier 'ifft'... why did you remove it.
For common work, rater use InsertCol/InsertRow.

InsertColRow.PNG

RS_Insert cols_rows to Matrices(1).sm (48kb) downloaded 50 time(s).
