Is it possible to have Smath or SMath with a plugin solve the attached equation (either numerically or symbolically)? Thanks! Solving Complex Eqn - Simplified.sm (12kb) downloaded 61 time(s).

You must simplify/explicit/plot ... the Smath native solve bloc will accept your demand. Solving Complex Eqn - Simplified.sm (24kb) downloaded 74 time(s).

I don't understand the equation: f(x)-P.r = 0 How do you know that this is true?
Thank you and sorry for my terrible math skills.
