Hi,

Why is saying that its not a proper differential equation?

And then if someone wants to solve a > 2 order differential equation (3th order, 4th order, etc), how to do it? What algorithm, command should I use/rely in SMath Studio?

Sure. Here is one using Maxima's desolve function and one using ODE.2 (without solving for the integration constants)

Martin, do you have an example for a third order differential equation on how to solve it? because ode2 is limited to second order differentia eq as far as I understood. And my previous question was on how to sollve a differential eq of order > 2 (3, 4, etc)?

Here I cirumvent the limitations of the translation using multiple intervals of integration. Example from the interactive handbook.
