The image speaks by itself. A bit of wise code is missing.

X_Y Hope for clean Plot.sm (9kb) downloaded 16 time(s).

explicit() is a Maxima function for plotting of explicit functions.

Maxima is working best with the current development version of SMath. I configured a portable distribution based on the latest version including the current version of the Maxima Plugin. See my signature for a download link (goes via wiki).

To use Maxima, follow the instructions on the plugin forum page.

There is a 6179-based distribution on my SMath Support page with Maxima included.
The above example should work with it, just ignore the complaints about program versions.
