From Maple.
One face of the cube belongs to the tangent plane to the surface at each point of the curve.

The tangent to the curve and the normal to the surface
The curve is given as the intersection line of two surfaces f1 and f2.
It can be seen that the normal to the sphere passes through its center.

Thanks for that one, added in dedicated file.
BTW, thanks for your latest meshed Torus, nice.
I was wondering if you can animate two more:

1. Add a point on Analemma wrapped on the sphere, animate the point ?
2. Animate [slide] the Advection on the graph ? Very nice in Mathcad !

Cheers, Thanks in advance: Jean

Flat animation we have already done:

One of the variants on the sphere.Unfortunately, the graph looks flat.
