Hey all,

I've been trying to design my smath sheets such that they're modular.

For example, I'll have a folder on my drive called

MATH
then inside math i'll have a bunch of folders containing various MATH modules
MATH\vecLength
MATH\vecDirection
etc.

The point of such a thing, is to allow me to instantly re-use past smath code in other sheets.

Now, the main problem i'm having is that if Modular A require Modular B, i have to manually open
Modular B and insert that portion into Modular A. What i'd really like to be able to do, is
have it such that Modular A can just import Modular B.

So long story short,
Can someone create a plugin/extension that allows one to import smath code from another smath sheet into the current sheet they are working on?

Thanks,

-Pete

Hello Pete,

I hope I understood you well, but did you try the snippet mechanism? I believe that some other way of inserting SMath files (modules) would be more complicated that the existing snippets way.

Appreciate the response omorr.

The problem with using snippets, is that each snippet must be contained within the snippets folder of the smath folder. Which means, for every version of smath i get (installed, portable, etc) i have to move all of my modules into that folder.

If there was a way to route the snippets folder to another directory, i'd be very happy.

In fact, that's my new feature request.

Feature Request

Allow the user to define the location of the snippet folder.
