Hello,

This is an old file of mine which crashes SMath in the recent version as well. The same file was already mentioned some time ago, but it seems it remained problematic (at least for me). Maybe Andrey forgot about it Good . Could someone else try to just open it please in order to confirm the crash.

Regards,
Radovan

I can confirm the crash. If you disable automatic calculation in the settings, then you can load the file. Seems that the first call to roots() generates the problem.

I nagged many times about roots(), and I hope that only roots() is the source of the problem. Anyway, this cause of crash should be removed, if possible. Fortunately, there is Davide Carpi (w3b5urf3r_reloaded) and his NonlinearSolvers plugin Good

Yes, I experienced the same thing before. Will test it again when I get to my Linux distro.
