I recently setup a new computer and when I open an SMath file on the new computer, the formatting is way off. Text seems larger relative to the Page and goes off the page in both x- and y-directions, images are stretched. The formatting differences convey through when I check Print Preview, as well. I've looked through all the settings and can't seem to figure out how to solve this. Options appear to be the same (though set to Auto in several instances). Font Size is 10 on both. SMath is the same version, both on Windows7 x64. Page Setup is identical at 8-1/2 x 11 and 9.91mm margins and setup to use the same Printer, driver, page sizes. The files were originally generated and saved in SMath, not an import/export, and it happens for all files.

Test file.sm (2kb) downloaded 19 time(s).

I attached a test file with a text box that was edited on each computer. Which text box fits on the page on your computer?

Is this a bug or a setting gone awry?

Thanks.

Thanks, w3b5urf3r_reloaded. Followed the link and figured out it's the DPI setting in Windows7 that wasn't the same between the computers. Fixed it and it worked perfectly on the new machine. Weird that SMath follows the DPI setting for Fonts but not for the Page Setup/Size. Seems like aligning that would eliminate the issue, but perhaps it's more complicated.

Your test file works perfect on my 2005 XP Home !

The ideal screen size for maths is 'Square screen'
Mine is 20" [diagonal], perfect. My other one is rectangular,
piece of garbage and can't square the stuff. Rectangular
screens are for 4/3 video/TV stuff
