Guys,
1) Is it possible to run an .exe file from a DOS shell within Smath, and how ?
2) Could it be done by writing a Visual Basic script in the script window inside Smath ? If so, could someone provide a small example of this.
Thank you for your help.

The image region plugin demonstrates that you can run windows programs from within SMath. If you register a dos program as standard application for png images, then the image region should launch this program whenever you try to create/edit the image.
Note that this might be considered as a security issue. |

You can even use an hperlink region. Originally Posted by: mkraska Note that this might be considered as a security issue. Absolutely. Assuming you are able to identify the threats, hyperlink regions are filtered by the user action (click of the user on the link), script region can be filtered by disabling auto calculation (before opening the worksheets).
