Doing the same task, roots(2) is ~ 7 times faster than solve(4). Maybe like this: from the Mach project, roots solves on the canvas, conclusively: it auto-seeds [my own answer].  Contour Solve Isocurve.sm (18kb) downloaded 42 time(s).
