Look at the empty cell in column 2, row 8: 3 and 6 are both forbidden there because they already are in that row. No need to go further, that cell can't host any number. This other version stores all the intermediate steps in the brute force algorithm, but I fail trying to animate it. Hope someone else can do it. SudokuBruteForceAnimated_lyles.sm (24kb) downloaded 22 time(s). Best regards. Alvaro.

The "mat" style [n:=1..9] may have other applications ? As it looks: left over from very original Smath versions. In many instances SS 5346 needed mat2sys conversions Jean
