Dear friends, is there a function to convert a "sys" to a "vector" and a function to convert a "vector" to a "sys"?

mat2sys(), mat2sys.1()
sys2mat(), sys2mat.1()

These are the functions you need.
You will need to install Custom Functions plugin for those.

The Unwrap(M) algo is commonly used in projects.

Unwrap() is not what owner of topic asked. Non-relevant.

There is a good reason to collect a project in system.
You can add/remove ... once collected or at time of collection.
... augment by clicking on the place holder of system.
... push down from top
... insert .
The attached example was collected this way by the Originator.
Simply plotting a zombie parrot from conversion.
At this point, the appropriate adjacency matrix was designed,
resulting in the desired W truss.
Collaboration appointed several visits ... done.
If you have something specific on the design board, let's go.
Cheers ... Jean.
