Hello, is there an option to save the graphs I made? If it exists how can I save them with very high quality? (for publication purposes).

Yes. The Maxima Plugin with the functions Draw2D and Draw3D produces pdf- or svg files (vector graphics). See the interactive handbook or the German Handbuch for examples and instructions.
The features are a subset of what can be done with Gnuplot.
