Hi, thanks for the new version, but I can't seem to get the plugin working.
Uninstalled SMath (last stable release) and installed the alpha on device memory, then extracted exe and the plugin dll to the plugins folder.
The functions xcint, xcsolve etc. do not seem to be recognized and there are no new buttons available on the panels... is there anything else required to "activate" the plugin?

Using Windows Mobile 5.1.

Do you have Tools=>Plugins menu item? If you do have it, check the installed plugins. You might have to "Start" it. I am not sure about it, just trying to help.

No other steps required. Just copy plugins files and that's it.
To use functions you need, f.e.:
1) write "xcint(,," using keyboard anywhere on the page (in some OS you should use ";" instead of "'", according to OS' settings);
2) fill in empty placeholders;
3) press "->" (symbolic calculation) to get the result.

Updated: 2omorr: Handheld version has no Plugins Dialog yet.

Hi, yes your instructions work - after writing xcint(,, the indefinite integral symbol appears

However it doesn't seem to calculate. If I enter something like x dx and then press "->" or "=" the Windows Mobile "wait" cursor appears for about 30 seconds, the box with the expression turns green (like normal) and then it doesn't give a result.

I have several reports of the same problem - seems it is appears on some kind of devices. Working to recreate this bug and fix it. Note, this issue appears only because of working with XCAS library has serious complexities.

Thank you for your report.

Thanks, hopefully it isn't because of WM5.1, I'd hate my device to be useless (although it is getting that way, with stuff like the Facebook app only working on WM6... Dry )

XCAS works for me. This is on an HTC TouchPro 1, using WinMo 6.1.
