Hi everybody,
I am a very new user of SMath. I created an sm file for calculating stiffness matrix of a beam. After I ran the program I was trying to change one input format and I suddenly closed the sm file before it finished calculating. After doing that I am no more able to open my previous sm file. The error message is " Unexpected end of file has occurred. The following elements are not closed: result, math, region, regions. line 46280, position 26".
If anybody know how to retrieve the old file Please help me.....

Hi Samira,

I already faced the same problem. If you do not have a backup, there is no way to restore the file.
This is a bug within SMath. Avoid saving the worksheet while it is calculating or train yourself to click the "Interrupt processing" button before you click the save button.

Crashing unexpetedly is not particular to Smath.
Often, it's not possible to trace the cause.
In that respect, Smath is superior to Mathcad,
you lose only what has not been saved, but that
may depend upon your PC version. With XP, the
most recent restore point is not far from where
it crashed.
