  • Great tool for all engineers. It's very user-friendly and has lots of functionalities that can be further extended by installing plug-ins (it takes just a few clicks, no need for tedious file manipulations). SMath can operate on units, perform symbolic calculations and many more. Also, it has very clear interface and all formulas can be entered just like you would do on a piece of paper. What's more, the software has great community of people willing to help with various issues.

Sometimes I test new versions of Smath with my very old worksheet which keeps failing since 0.98.5973.
This time it puzzled me again. Please see how it performs now.
The SS prints the result of maple(expand(...)) normally,
but after assigning the resulting expression to the variable nnn,
it failed even to display nnn.
What means "Not defined" if it has shown the correct result before?

example_5973.sm (11kb) downloaded 40 time(s).

Hi. It means that can't recalculate because the use of sums and products. For force the recalculation as it is needed, can enclose the num definition by a line:
