That's my fault, in the latest update I've changed some little chunks of code; I apologize for this inconvenience...

Understood. Record "test.png" it turned out to be done by copying text from notepad. Tell me how to make a text entry inside the formulas "" in SMath

Is it possible to work this module inside the SMATH Viewer?

Full reference is given in the first post attachment (direct link) or in the ActiveBook made by Martin Kraska (worksheet from SVN)

Simply type the text (I'm not sure if I have understood correctly your question)

The region is hidden in SMath Viewer, it is made to make screenshots of the worksheet canvas, it knows nothing about the layout of the viewer that is completely different; as always suggestions are welcome. Also take in account that this tool was originally developed to easily export multiple screenshota without have to scroll the whole worksheet everytime and make dozen of screenshots, a viewer executable is usually compact enough to allow screenshots from any 3rd-party tool with few clicks.

Quotes turned out to deliver.

I have been actively studying Smath recently, it is a very convenient and intuitive tool for performing calculations.
I am drafting projects in the Autocad. The result of calculations and a well-designed calculation with the text I want to insert in the drawings a picture as OLE object.
I work with people who do not know how to use a computer. If they show a worksheet, they will spoil it. Smath viewer is a rescue.
Smath Viewer allows you to print the calculation. It would be desirable, that the given module, allowed to receive pictures of the selected area(This frame, This Set, Any Frame, copy to clipboard) from Smath viewer.

The snapshot is just a gadget that tells the approximate size of
selected Smath regions. Otherwise, I see no utilities.
If you want a dead image of Smath regions to paste in AutoCad:
capture the regions with "Wingrab" [freeware] ... that cropped
image => paste in AutoCad if it can received an "image".

Jean

Utilities SnapShot.sm (35kb) downloaded 34 time(s).

I understood how it works Snapshot region.
But I would like to see such a possibility in the smath viewer.
In the autocad there is no way to write beautiful formulas, sometimes the expert asks to draw them. This is long and not convenient. It is more important to perform the calculation in the side program and insert it with a picture.
For me, there is no problem working with the smath studio worksheet. But my people will not be able to work in it, there will be problems and not understanding.

I see Smath viewer as a finished calculation, which can be run on any computer, to any person and if necessary print out the whole calculation.
Smath Studio requires more computer literacy from the user than Smath viewer.

An Engineering piece of work may need several pages of advanced maths,
it will run on computers compatible with SS and having SS installed.
Smath clipboard operation is specific to Smath. It does not support
"Windows clipboard operation", i.e: you can't select math regions and
paste in other Windows compatible tools [Paint, IrfanView, Wingrab ...]
Differently, Mathcad allows to paste math regions in Irfanview ...

In other words, if AutoCad allows to paste images, you must proceed as
previously explained [capture, save image, paste image to Autocad].
Today, I can open an AutoCad 11 [1990] Process Control & Instrumentation
Diagram and paste in it several pieces of descriptive maths from Smath,
paste as images. That was not possible in 1990 because no Engineering
tools existed.

Are you asking AutoCad to open an Smath work sheet and have AutoCad responds
to the Smath calculations ? That existed: In 2000, Mathcad 8 Pro was
delivered with SmartSketch. I could open my involved diagram in SmartSketch
and open Mathcad work sheet in it and see the diagram change as per the
Mathcad governing calculations [belt/pulley system ...]. Some specific packages
do that, mostly for machining, etc ...

About diagrams, very little things can be done in Smath, but you are saying your
team work know nothing about Smath ... multiple dilemmas.

Cheers, Jean.

I do not ask this. I think that this is too difficult, and I respect the time and work of the programmers of Smath (when there is free time. I'm programming myself (my hobby is a beginner level) for the last 2 years I'm trying to program for an analog of AutoCAD (zcad open source))

Yes, I need it. Now the screenshots are made by this module inside the SS. I want them to be made from Smath's viewer. The result should be the same.

Alternately: if your computer allows to split the screen in two regions or more
and if each pane allows to run other software ... work your Smath in cloud
in the CAD station => read Smath pane from cloud ... just an idea.

I am using the snapshot region a lot for producing manuals on SMath Studio (see https://extmoodle.th-bra...php?id=138&section=2). The workflow allows for quick update and corrections.

Regions copied via clipboard to Word or other programs have much better image quality than the snapshots produced with the snapshot region. Here is an example:

Would it be possible to increase the resolution of the screenshots? The clipboard copies seem to have double the resolution compared to snapshots. I'd be happy to have that resolution also in the snapshots.
